I've always loved the outdoors. Growing up, I'd look at beautiful homes with incredible landscapes and think — I'd love to do that one day. I always wanted to build something from scratch; not just build it, but build it so well that people would genuinely stop and admire it. That idea never left me. My Home My Garden was built around it — work that lasts, work done properly, work you can point to years later and say it's still perfect.

Why We Build Differently

There's a version of this industry where every job is rushed, every quote is razor-thin, and the homeowner only finds out years later — when boards start lifting or a pergola post shifts — that corners were cut at the structural level.

Early in my career, I worked on large commercial sites where structural documentation was non-negotiable. Engineers checked the framing. Sub-contractors were held to a standard. Nothing was signed off until it was right. That rigour simply doesn't exist in most residential outdoor construction.

The Elevated Build Standard™ is my answer to that gap. It's not a marketing phrase — it's a defined set of construction requirements I apply to every project, regardless of size. Laminated structural framing. Joist protection tape to manage moisture. Correct bearer spacing for the board being installed. Concealed fastening systems. Clean edge treatment on every fascia.

How We Work

From First Call to Finished Build

No project starts on site until we've been to your property, understood the brief, and given you a clear written quote. Here's what every project looks like.

Initial Enquiry

You reach out via phone, email or the contact form. We respond within one business day. We'll ask a few questions about the project — space, scope, what you're trying to achieve — and figure out if we're the right fit for what you need.

Free Site Visit & Consultation

We come to your property, walk the space with you, and talk through your vision in detail. We look at access, existing structures, drainage, orientation and any constraints that affect the design or build. No obligation, no fee — we won't quote until we've actually seen the site.

Detailed Written Quote

We prepare a clear, itemised quote covering materials, labour and all inclusions. No ballpark estimates, no vague allowances. You'll know exactly what you're getting and what it costs before we start — and if anything changes on site, we talk to you before we act.

Scheduling & Materials

Once you're ready to proceed, we lock in a start date, order your materials and confirm the build timeline. We'll keep you updated on delivery and any scheduling changes. No disappearing acts between acceptance and commencement.

The Build

We arrive on time, work cleanly and follow the Elevated Build Standard™ from the first post to the final board. You'll feel the difference in how the structure performs and see it in how the finish looks close up. When we pack up, the site is clean and the work is done right.

Eastern & South-Eastern Melbourne

We're based in Melbourne and work predominantly across the eastern and south-eastern suburbs. Most of our clients are in established residential areas where homes have the space and the character to genuinely benefit from high-quality outdoor construction.
