Composite Deck Re-board, Subframe Extension & Breaker Board Detail
Our Mulgrave project is a good example of the work most decking companies will not show you: a re-board and subframe extension, where the existing structure was assessed, extended and brought up to standard before a single new board went down. The finished deck features breaker-board detailing — a clean dividing line that manages board lengths and gives long decks a considered, architectural look.
Monash-area homes from the 70s and 80s often have structurally sound decks wearing tired boards. Done properly, a re-board costs significantly less than a full rebuild — but only if the frame genuinely passes inspection. We document that assessment so you know which side of the line your deck is on.

Re-boarding an existing compliant deck generally does not require a permit; extensions and new structures may, through the City of Monash. We confirm at the site visit.
