Picture-Frame Composite Deck, Pergolux Louvred Pergola & Sliding Glass Doors
Templestowe blocks are generous, leafy and often sloping — which is exactly why so many of them have an older pergola or paved courtyard that has slowly stopped earning its keep. One of our most complete transformations to date happened here: an old pergola that had been surrendered to the garden, rebuilt from the footings up into a motorised Pergolux louvred pergola over a herringbone picture-frame composite deck, with sliding glass walls and integrated lighting.
That build is documented photo-by-photo on this site — from chalk lines on the old pavers to the finished outdoor room at dusk. The herringbone picture-frame border is among the most labour-intensive finishes in decking, with every board mitred at 45 degrees. It is the kind of detail we believe Templestowe homes deserve, and the kind of work we want to be known for in this suburb.

Depending on size, height and boundary setbacks, a building permit through Manningham City Council may be required. We assess this at the free site visit and handle the process with you — it is a normal part of how we quote.
Yes — much of our Templestowe and Warrandyte-area work involves stepped subframes, retaining and drainage planning. The structure underneath is where our Elevated Build Standard™ matters most.
